Ensure your passport and travel documents meet Saudi Arabia's strict entry requirements, including specific rules on refugee travel documents.
National Passport Validity
- Standard Requirement: All visitors must hold a passport valid for 6 months. Your passport must also have at least two consecutive blank visa pages.
- GCC Travel: Citizens traveling to or between Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries can carry either a valid national passport or a national identity card.
Refugee Travel Documents
- Unaccepted Documents: Saudi Arabia, along with several other Gulf countries, does not recognise or accept refugee travel documents for entry.
- Visa Rejections: If you hold a refugee travel document and attempt to apply for a tourist, Umrah, or business visa, your application will be rejected, and you will not be allowed to enter the country.
- National Passports Only: To obtain a visa and enter the Kingdom, visitors are strictly required to possess and travel with a valid national passport issued by their country of citizenship.
